Panel Only
Sips UK’s core business is the manufacture of structural insulated panels (sip’s) which are then used as a structural alternative to more tradition building methods.
- They can be used as the load bearing replacement for the inner leaf of a traditional masonry or timber frame constructed building; alternatively they can be used as a single skin, stand alone system (no cavity).
- They can be used for both the structural and non structural internal walls of a building, including party walls.
- They are effectively a 1.2metre wide rafter and can be used to create a warm roof allowing rooms to have vaulted ceilings or freeing up extra accommodation in the roof.
- The manufactured width for panels is 1200mm
- Facings can be of 11 and 15mm OSB3 (Oriented strand board) 11mm is the preferred standard, many types of facings can be used, the commonest of which are plywood’s and CPB (cement particle board)
- Panels can off course be supplied cut to size.

All timber used in the manufacture of our panels comes from PEFC and FSC sources
The polyurethane foam core material that we use is blown using Pentane and has a zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Factor; it also has a low gwp (global warming potential) of below 5 on the BRREAM scale, we believe that currently we are the only company in the country currently with a GWP of below 5.
