The building was to be a new chalet-style property sited within close proximity of a cliff edge. After liaising with the main contractor, Better Faster Building, and the client, a set of manufacturing drawings and calculations for Building Controls were produced. Because of the position of the site, our structural engineer incorporated a series of steel wind posts into the design for added strength.
Once the drawings had been approved we proceeded to manufacture the external from our 125mm SIP panel system, while the internal walls were constructed using a combination of 100mm sips for the load-bearing walls and of stud construction for partition walls. The roof was constructed using our 150mm roof panel system. The build was completed in just 5 days and the client was extremely pleased, both with the product and also the service they received from all the Sips UK personnel that they dealt with.
